Privacy & Support

Addie is an app about not being watched, measured, or judged. The privacy policy had to match.

Privacy Policy

There is no account. There is no sign-up. We do not know your name, your email, or who you are — and we would rather keep it that way.

What stays on your phone

Almost everything. Addie stores the following on your device, and only on your device:

Your setup answersWhat you're done with, when hunger hits hardest, what a win would look like, how you usually eat.
Whether you told us you still have a weight goalAsked once. Never transmitted anywhere. It only changes how Addie talks to you.
Whether you told us food has been more than foodNever transmitted anywhere, in any form. See the note below — this one matters to us.
Your meals and their Hold TimeWhat you logged, what you added, how long it held you. Your whole history lives on your phone.
A random device IDGenerated on your phone so a purchase can be recognised as yours. Not linked to your identity.

We do not have a copy of any of this. There is no server holding your history, no database with your name on it, and nothing for us to hand over, sell, or lose.

What leaves your phone

Addie's suggestions come from an AI model, and that model does not run on your phone. So when you ask for a suggestion, this is sent:

It travels to our server, which passes it to an AI provider, and the answer comes back. Our server stores none of it — it holds nothing, and keeps no record of what you sent. The AI provider processes the request under its own terms, and we have no access to anything it may retain.

The part we want you to read

That "short instruction" carries directions, never facts about you. If you told Addie that food has been more than food, what gets sent is "never mention weight, size, shape or progress" — not the reason. If you told Addie you still want to lose weight, what gets sent is "never mention weight, calories or portions" — not the goal.

The model behaves exactly the way you need it to, and never learns why. Those two answers are the most personal things Addie knows, and they do not leave your phone.

Purchases

Subscriptions are handled by Apple and by RevenueCat, the service that manages them for us. They receive your random device ID and the fact of a purchase. Payment details go to Apple and never reach us — we never see a card number.

Permissions Addie asks for

What Addie does not do

Deleting everything

Delete the app and your data is gone with it, because it was only ever on your phone. There is nothing to request from us and no form to fill in. Your subscription is separate: manage or cancel it in your iPhone's Settings under your Apple Account, and Apple keeps its own purchase records.

Children

Addie is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update it here and change the date at the top. If a change ever affects what leaves your phone, we will say so in the app before it takes effect.

Support

Addie is made by one person. Email theproduckmanager@gmail.com and you will reach her, usually within a couple of days.

How do I cancel?

On your iPhone: Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Addie → Cancel. Cancelling during the free trial means you are never charged. Apple handles all of this; we cannot cancel on your behalf.

I already paid and Addie thinks I haven't

Open Addie, go to the paywall screen and tap Restore purchases. If that does not work, email us with the date of purchase and we will sort it out.

Addie isn't asking me the question

The question arrives a few hours after you log a meal, and it needs notifications turned on. Check Settings → Notifications → Addie. Addie asks at most twice a day, on purpose.

Why won't it show me my results yet?

Addie refuses to compare your meals until it has enough of both kinds — a few with a satisfying combo, a few without. A curve drawn from two meals is decoration, not evidence. Keep logging what you actually eat, including the meals that were just toast: those are half the comparison.

Can I use it without the AI suggestions?

Yes. You can log a meal and answer the question without ever asking for a suggestion, and the Hold Time part works exactly the same.

Can I get my data out?

Not yet, and we would like to fix that. It is on your phone and it is yours; export is on the list.

Does Addie track weight?

No. Not optionally, not hidden in settings, not "for progress". It measures how long meals hold you, and nothing else.
